TS-1 is the support designed by Zamst for the recovery and prevention of thigh-related muscular injuries; exclusive design and full-opening type for quick donning/doffing, Cross-Strap system and 3D stretching structure in all directions to guarantee modular compression according to the desired degree.

Designed to be worn either on the right or left leg.

Product pluses:

- Rom-Tech: anatomically designed technology to allow all movements to be fluid and natural;

- I-Fit: adjustable closure for a customised fit, maximum comfort and variable compression level;

TYPE OF INJURY: Specific for recovery and/or prevention of muscle injuries such as strains, sprains (elongations), and contractures of the thigh muscles such as quadriceps femoris, adductors and abductors, biceps femoris, etc. Injuries, depending on their severity, are divided into grade 0 injuries - the muscle is contracted; grade 1 injuries - elongation of the muscle fibres that exceed their limit of endurance are damaged but there is no rupture; grade 2 injuries - ruptures affect part of the muscle fibres and in turn are classified into stage I, stage II and stage III depending on the amount of fibres subject to rupture.

SYMPTOMS AND SIGNS: Acute and violent pain at the moment of the injury, the stronger the greater the percentage of injured fibres, the initial pain is followed by a muscle spasm, the pain increases during palpation of the injured area, limitation of mobility; in the case of simple contracture or first degree injuries, the pain can be tolerated and allow the continuation of sporting activity, but it is advisable to interrupt the activity even if the pain is slight; appearance of swelling and haematoma.

TREATMENT OF INJURIES: In general it is advisable to apply the R.I.C.E. protocol (cold therapy), the doctor may prescribe non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) to reduce inflammation and pain. If, 48-72 hours after the injury, the swelling has subsided, bruising appears and there is an improvement in contractile capacity, the recovery process can be initiated. If, on the other hand, the symptoms do not show signs of improving, it is a good idea to contact a doctor who will assess possible physiotherapy treatment or another solution.
