New generation of ankle support, derived from technologies in use by professional athletes USA and ASIA.
FILMISTA is Zamst's greatest technological innovation: it can be adjusted and removed in seconds, and is the best alternative to bandaging. Ultra thin and extremely light, Filmista is designed for injury prevention and joint preservation over time. Working like a second skin, it ensures maximum comfort in the shoe, follows the movements of the ankle and activates proprioception by maintaining tension at strategic points to ensure accurate support and improved stability. The secret in the production of Filmista is the coupling of several layers of Urethane with integrated micro-stabilisers by means of a compression-moulding process devised by the Zamst engineering team: the result is a very strong film that combines flexibility and rigidity in an extremely thin thickness that keeps the joint in place but with perfect freedom of movement without taking up space in the shoe.
Product pluses:
- Second skin: fits the ankle perfectly, C-Flex technology that gives an incredible sense of lightness and support;
- Simplified bandaging: it is very easy to position and can be re-used again and again; I-Fit technology with adjustable closure for a customised fit, improved comfort and a level of compression that can be adapted to your preferences;
- Ultra-thin with Micron-Tech urethane micro-stabiliser technology for an ultra-fine fit;
- Ultra-flexible with Fusion-Tech technology in dual-layer film with differentiated bending, combining flexibility and strength in an extremely thin thickness for unrivalled comfort;
- Grip-Tech: non-slip grip designed to keep the product in place during any degree of sporting intensity;
- Technological product with different anatomical cut between right/left ankle;
TYPE OF INJURY: Ankle instability can be caused by a wide variety of injuries: the most common are ligament injuries with 90% of sprains identified as inversions and 10% as eversions. Other types of injuries may be due to tendinopathies, inflammation, contusions, muscle imbalances, strains and sprains.
SYMPTOMS AND SIGNS: pain, swelling or inflammation. People who have had ankle injuries or sprains or hip disorders in the past are more prone to relapse. Ankle instability is accentuated when walking/running on uneven surfaces. WARNING: Always consult your doctor for an objective examination and to make the correct diagnosis.
