ELBOW SLEEVE is a lightweight tubular elbow support that allows stabilisation of the elbow by means of adjustable compression, while still allowing the joint to move smoothly and naturally.

TYPE OF INJURY: Bursitis, inflammatory bursitis, swelling, contusions, inflammation of the elbow joint, joint stability.

SYMPTOMS AND SIGNS: Inflammatory bursitis or functional overload bursitis are common in sportsmen and women and in those who perform work activities characterised by repeated movements. In these cases, the bursa on which the tendon rests becomes inflamed due to excessive rubbing and mechanical pressure caused by movement, the onset is generally slow and progressive over time, the inflammation increases the flow of fluid in the bursa which becomes swollen and painful to palpation. 

TREATMENT OF THE INJURIES: ATTENTION: objective examination by the doctor is always recommended, in general: immediately suspend the physical or work activity that generated it, apply a compressive support that supports the loads on the joint and protects it (ELBOW SLEEVE is designed for this), ice therapy R. I.C.E. If after one/two weeks there is regression, it is a good idea to consult a specialist who will assess the possible aspiration of excess fluid, local infiltration of corticosteroids, anti-inflammatory drugs and/or physical therapy such as ultrasound.
